What a fun book! Okay, so home renovation / home improvement / house flipping books aren’t exactly new. I’ve got one myself. Making Sasha a psychic was new and different. Making Sasha an empath for houses – kind of like psychometry on steroids – that was fantastic. Making Sasha an empath for houses who was also homeless – that was genius.
I loved how every character fit together. Sasha and Nick were perfect for each other in every way. Nick’s family was amazing, I couldn’t get enough of them. And even Sasha’s mother was interesting and complex. It seemed like there was a lot of judgement toward her because of her addiction, but given what she put Sasha through I can hardly blame him. If anything, it seems like he went too easy on her.
This was a perfect book to round out my vacation with. I strongly recommend it. You can’t go wrong.
